Caring for Your Handcrafted Rosary

Congratulations on your purchase of a beautifully handcrafted rosary by Rosaries For Life. Each rosary is individually handcrafted with care and attention to detail. Please take a moment to read these care instructions before using your rosary for the first time.

About Your Rosary

All Rosaries For Life rosaries are handcrafted using plated metal with each crystal or bead individually linked. As with all handcrafted jewellery, your rosary is delicate and will reward gentle handling and proper care with a long and beautiful life.

Storage

Store your rosary in its original packaging or a soft pouch to prevent scratches and tangling. Keep away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use.

Cleaning

Polish your rosary gently and regularly using a soft dry cloth. Avoid pulling or vigorous rubbing at the links. Do not use chemical cleaners, ultrasonic cleaners or abrasive materials.

Daily Care

• Put your rosary on last when dressing and take it off first when undressing
• Remove your rosary before washing hands, bathing, swimming or exercising
• Avoid contact with perfume, hairspray, soap, lotion and other beauty products as these can harm the metal plating and reduce crystal brilliance
• Avoid contact with water and all chemicals
• Remove during high perspiration activities

Handling

Handle your rosary with care and avoid hard contact or snagging on clothing or other objects. Knocking against hard surfaces or catching on fabric can scratch, chip or pull the links apart and damage the wire and crystals.

A Note on Plated Metal

The beautiful finish on your rosary is achieved through metal plating. With proper care this finish will last for many years. Exposure to moisture, chemicals or abrasion will accelerate wear of the plating and is not covered under our returns policy.
